MLB | Fuera del Ballpark

Together with Remezcla, we created the Fuera del Ballpark documentary film series to celebrate untold baseball stories from across Latin America.

We partnered with local filmmakers in Mexico and Puerto Rico to tell the stories of a group of indigenous Mayan women fighting against traditional gender roles, a minor league prospect applying the discipline he learned while working in his uncle’s taquería, and two street artists inspired by Roberto Clemente to make a difference in their own communities.

These three films attracted more than 14 million views across MLB channels and were screened for audiences in NYC Parks during Hispanic Heritage Month.

Las Diablillas, the first film below, was awarded a Silver Cannes Lion for Diversity & Inclusion in Sport and was Shortlisted for Direction. It also won Bronze Clios for Diversity in Storytelling and Athlete Storytelling.
